Welcome to, NSX CALLS, the first eNewsletter of the Stock Exchange of Newcastle
Limited.

• The NSX will be officially opened on the 21st March 2000 at 2.00 pm
  (EST) by the Hon. Joe Hockey, The Minister for Financial Services and Regulation.�
  It is expected that trading of securities on the NSX will commence shortly thereafter.


• The NSX will specialise in the trading of the securities of small,
  medium and regionally based businesses.


• The Exchanges trading hours will initially be 10.30am to 12.30 pm
  (EST) daily and will take place on the Newcastle Electronic Trading System (NETS).�
  NETS is a derivative of ASX's SEATS and is used under licence by the NSX.�
  Settlement of transactions on the Exchange will occur via CHESS and
  will be on a T+3 basis.


• The Exchange's website is being continually updated and if you
  haven't visited it for a while it may be worthwhile to have a look again.


• The Exchange is receiving a number of expressions of interest from
  companies wishing to list on the Exchange and the Exchange will shortly be announcing the names of its first listings.
