The Stock Exchange of Newcastle Limited (NSX) was officially opened for business in March 2000 by The Hon Joe Hockey MP, the then Federal Minister for Financial Services and Regulation.

Founded in 1937, incorporated in 1972, reactivated under Corporations Law as the in 2000 and fully regulated by ASIC.
