Welcome to, NSX CALLS, the second edition eNewsletter of the Stock Exchange of Newcastle
Limited.

• The NSX was officially opened today 21st March 2000 at 2.30 pm by
  the Hon. Joe Hockey, The Minister for Financial Services and Regulation. 
  A copy of the opening address by Steven Pritchard, Chief Executive Officer of
  the Exchange is attached.


• The Exchange is now accepting applications from companies seeking to
  list. Full copies of the Exchanges' listing rules can be obtained from its
  web site. 


• The first companies are expected to list and their securities to begin
  trading on the Exchange at the end of April 2000.


• The initial trading hours will be between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm daily.


• Westpac Broking has become a participating organisation of the
  Exchange.
