18th Australasian Finance and Banking Conference
To be officially opened by Mr Glenn Stevens, the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, this-two day conference is a significant banking and finance conference in the Asia-Pacific Region and will be attended by senior representatives from the International Monetary Fund and a number of eminent financial analysts. The central theme of this year�s 2005 conference is �Financial Challenges and Opportunities in the Asia-Pacific Region for the 21st Century�. This theme will be explored by keynote speakers: Dr Anne Krueger, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF; Professor Martin Gruber, New York University; Professor Mark Flannery, FloridaUniversity; Professor Andrei Shelifer, HarvardUniversity; Mr Mark Johnson, Deputy Chairman of Macquarie Bank; and Professor Terry Walter, Head of School of Banking and Finance, UNSW.
